Both I and the Boards of Directors of Blue Hills Child and Family Centre and The York Centre for Children, Youth and Families are very pleased to announce that our organizations have amalgamated. As of November 1st, we are all very proud to be moving forward as York Hills Centre for Children, Youth and Families.

Our assessment and treatment services include a range of dedicated professional staff that are delivering individual, family and group counselling, community and in-school clinical supports, residential services, day treatment services, alternative dispute resolution, family mediation, etc.

As a newly merged organization we look forward to more efficiently and effectively delivering a broader continuum of treatment and assessment services. The York Centre provides a range of treatment and intervention services for children, youth, and families who live in York Region. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team based upon a comprehensive approach to social, emotional, behavioural, mental health, academic, and family needs.

The specific services provided to the community by the York Centre are:

Day Treatment Services

Zero to 6 Services

Community Group Services

Individualized Service Plans

Based upon information gathered from the child, youth, family, school and relevant helping professionals, an individualized, goal-focused treatment plan is developed, based on strengths and needs. This is the basis for the partnership between the family and the Centre.

As required, specialized assessments, including psychological, psychiatric, speech and language, motor skills and expressive therapy may be provided by The Centre.
